For a tech conference in New Orleans, we engaged attendees in their language from arrival to convention center. Everything was to inspire people to let their minds think playfully and creatively, the way Qualcomm does to get innovative ideas.

Our original tagline “Let your mind come out and play” was changed to “Go brain, Go.”

Ideas and writing while at Fallon in Minneapolis.

It began at the airport where an outline of two hands on the wall read “Place your hands here to be teleported to the convention center.” Then in tiny type, “If it doesn’t work in 10 seconds maybe you should just grab an Uber.” Porta-potties were labeled “Time Machine” and shuttles had signs saying “This vehicle is going 3,674mph sideways, viewed from space.”

The launch of a highly secure phone called the Qsec was scrapped but these were a few of the planned lines.

We have no past, present or future knowledge that our Qsec phone is used by the government.

Our Qsec is so secure, Qsec probably isn’t its real name.
